Can I connect both my sum pump and hung sewer to have a common back up for both? What kind of battery would I need?
I recently replaced my original (3) year-old Smart Outlet with the upgraded version. I am very happy with its performance and the smartphone app. I am a satisfied customer, and I don't worry about my basement sump pump not operating, as the Smart Outlet tells me everything I need to know about my sump pump's status.
Where do you drill the weep hole to prevent air bounding?
Most likely there’s a weep hole already in the check valve. That’s how mine is.
I just hooked up my Pump spy Primary backup system and everything seems to work. Just one question. I have a pump spy 12 volt battery and the system is charging and it is at 14.5 volts with two bars to go. Is this normal?
Can this valve be installed horizontally?
It's like this guy never used a screwdriver before. instead of hiring an actor to be your contractor, hire a contractor to be your actor. ;-)
I always use a nut driver for those anyway as the slotted screwdriver can be fiddly.
Getting massive sparks trying to install 2000w inverter to my 12V battery. Even using the ohm resistor it keeps sparking during install. Following all directions from manual.
Did you ever figure this out? I just purchased the same inverter and will install it soon.
BEWARE. The Pump Spy battery weighs 50 pounds!
The app is terrible, does not work and poor customer support. Don’t buy this and waste your money. As good as not having one.

Hi there, I'm interested in getting one. I just have a question. Our sump pump is in our front yard in a deep well. Can I install this smart outlet on the outlet where our sump pump is plugged into? I'm just worried the moisture in the well will cause this smart outlet to trip the GFCI outlet our sump pump is plugged into.
I really love this! I am using it now. But the app really needs improvement. it's very plain small texts and fonts. feel like it's poorly designed even know it does the job
